Theater.....theater........THEATER!

It's been so long since I've posted. I don't really know where to start! Well, on Friday I had my audition for Beauty and the Beast. Oh my gosh I have never had such fun at an audition. It was a BLAST. I sang Happy Birthday and did wonderfully. The dance audition was amazing. I love the choreographer. She totally rocks. And I did wonderfully in that one too. :D There were SO many amazingly talented people auditioning. It was so fun. I have never had an audition like that. I wasn't very nervous when we got there. But when I was on the bench before I went up I was totally shaken up and nervous. Clara said I was turning redder by the minute. But I pulled it off and it was great! I hope I can audition for the next show they are doing. Peter Pan! It is going to be awesome.They are going to fly! I am excited.
So anyway. The next day was Callbacks. And to my dismay I did not get called back. I was really hopping I would get a chance to try out for Mrs. Potts. But I guess that was not what they had in mind for me. I must admit that I was really upset. REALLY REALLY upset. The rest of my day was just really awful. I put my self in a bad mood and I couldn't get out of it. I did eventually, but before that, it was awful. That night when the cast list was about to go up, I had a little prayer time. I asked for the grace to except what ever I got of did not get, and to know that God had something else in mind for me that was even better then being in a CYT play if I didn't get in. When I was done I hit the "refresh" button, and the cast list popped up.

As you can see, My name is not on there. But god gave me the amazing grace to be okay with it. I was completely relaxed and even happy. I didn't mind so much that I wasn't cast. I was sort of relieved.
I am really excited about doing crew. I love crew. I think I am going to sign up for Backstage. I might do Props again, but only if they need me to do that. It's going to be a lot of fun.

Ok. Now, about the other play I told you about. It is going very well. I got the part and I am enjoying it very much. My charictor is named Mavis Greadly. I am a shy, mousy kind of person. It's a really big switch for me cause I am FAR beyond shy. I am a very loud kind of person. I have 22 lines and I am about 60 years old. Fun stuff. Beyond that, I can't tell you anything. I swore I wouldn't tell anyone anything about the play. It's a surprise. :D But it's a really fun play and everyone who reads this needs to come. :) Next week we are going off book. I am working on memorizing my lines. I have never had over three lines in my entire theater experience, so this is a new thing for me. :D Its all fun.

So yeah. This is going to be a very fun three months. God is good.

*GASP*

I might be doing two shows at the same time. Wow.

Ok, so heres whats going on. My friends school is doing this play called Murder by Indecision and apparently they where really desperate for actors. So the other day I was chatting with her and she's like "Hey! Are you interested?!" And then some how everything worked out and I am going to a read for the drama teacher on Monday! I am really excited.
And then I am going to do Beauty and the Beast for CYT. Lots of fun. But it sure is a big bite to take. Rehearsals for the school play is Mon-Thu and then on the weekends are the B&B rehearsal (provided I get in) plus CYT classes on Thursdays. So I'm going to be gone almost all week. We might have to drop CYT which makes me extremely sad. But maybe not. HOPEFULLY not.
So yeah. Crazy crazy crazyness.
