"We've got a Lifeguard down!"

really quick note here, HAPPY NEW YEARS! never mind that it's almost February... :) eh. I'm sorry it's been FOREVER since I've written... but if you're friends on facebook with me, you'll probably have a idea of what's been going on with me for the past 6 months.. I'm alive and well, and that's all that really matters, right?
well, ALMOST alive and well...
I'm taking lifeguard training at SCC. it's pretty sweet. I've wanted to do this for a veeeery long time, so I'm totally thrilled.
so, so far we've learned about Patron Surveillance, Assists, Submerged rescues, CPR, and how to use the AED. what's left? First Aid. that's right. blood guts and gore... oh yeah, and 3 degree burns. >.< this is the part where I run screaming from the room. hahahaha. so yesterday, we had a big test about CPR and the AED, and then after the test we entered in to the third section of the course, First Aid. we watched some stuff about strokes and how you know when someones having one and fun stuff like that.... and then we watched a video on open wounds and serious burns.... I was sitting there watching this with my text book covering most of my face while grotesque pictures of wounds and 3 degree burns come on the screen. my exact thoughts were "oooooh.... oooow... gosh... hoooly cow.. gross.. Why am I here again? oh man.. I don't feel too good.. hmm! I'm seeing double vision! I must be blacking out! that's really weird... I wonder why I'm doing that! hahahaha!" And Cc FAINTS. I kid you not. Next thing I know, I wake up on the floor with my instructor Michele leaning over me... I have no idea how long I was out.. it can't have been that long, but who knows.. it could have been a good five minutes. I immediately start freaking out and try to sit up and then realize that I don't feel too good... crud. "did I just pass out?? did I faint?! *giggles* ooooh my gosh I am so sorry.. oh wow I can't believe I just did that!" Michele tells me to keep lying down. everyone is looking at me with big eyes. all in all, it was pretty hilarious. I was giggling. hahahaha... eventually I got up and Michele got me some ice for my head (I got a lovely rug burn on my face) and we continued the lesson without the grotesque images. : )
so that was my little adventure for the month. I was excited. I've always wanted to know what it feels like to faint! hahaha... it's not quite as romantic as I thought it would be, but that's ok. *giggles* today I've been feeling pretty aweful.. my head and neck hurt and I'm totally drained.. but I think I'll be ok tomorrow. :P
anyway! thanks for reading. I hope I didn't bore you to tears.... hahahaha.. :) Love you all! hope you're having a great week! <3

the thoughts of a Cc on a lovely summer evening.

Goodness... It's been quite awhile since I've been on here. I feel like a looser.... you know what I've been doing instead of blogging? facebook-ing. it's horrible. hahaa. It's just another way to stalk friends. But I looooove it. I should take a brake from it for awhile.. :P
But anyway, believe it or not I've actually been insanely busy. I'm teaching swimming again down at SCC. that's been a BLAST. that started about three weeks ago. It's been such a amazing experience. I love love love working with those kids. they make me so happy. and I love the other people I work with. we have such fun together. :)
Most of the Aids. we rock. :) I'm the one in the middle.

Karen and Clara are leaving for college next month. *Sigh* that's gonna be really hard. but exciting. I can tell I'm going to be doing a whooole lot of growing up this year. it's gonna be intense. but I'm excited. I'm ready for a change. :)

hmm.... I didn't ever talk about "Joseph" did I? well, that closed in the beginning of June. It was a pretty good show as far as the acting and the technical stuff goes. But it was a very bitter sweet experience for me. kind of a culture shock, really. there were some really nasty things going on behind the scenes. and there were also some really fun things. but it was very hard. I had to sleep for two days after it closed because it was just sooo draining both emotionally and physically. I don't want to get in to any details so as not to hurt any feelings. but yeah. It was not fun a lot of the time. :-/ The next show I will be auditioning for will be Theater Arts for Children's production of The Secret Garden. I'm auditioning with my little sister. that should be a lot of fun. that will be sometime in the fall. I'm not quite sure when. I should probably check that... hahaha. I'm pretty excited. it will be fun to try out another theater group. :) so that's where I am in the theater world.
Rehearsal
Mega-mixx!

I think that's about it... We went to a family reunion a few weeks ago. It was sooooo much fun. I love my family so much. :) It was up at a lake resort somewhere up north. about three hours away from spokane. it was really really nice to be away from the city for awhile. I got to spend a whole week and a half with my fabulous cousins who I pretty much NEVER see because they live on the other side of the country. haha. it's was just fantastic. :)
The Hudon's

The Lake. :)
A pretty awesome picture of my cousins on the doc.... LOL
Me and two of my fantastic cousins. Teresa and Katie. XD

I hope you all are having a fantastic summer. I must away to do some cleaning.. yuuuck. :) I'll try to post more often. hehe.

Auditions.

One minute of my life. I was on stage for 60 seconds and then I was sitting back in my seat almost crying because I was so glad it was over. I did very well. I sang "What is this Feeling" from wicked. also known as "Loathing". I switched songs a few hours before I got in the car to go. but it was a good reason to switch. the one I was going to sing was "For Good" from wicked. it's a beautiful and powerful song, but it's slow. when you audition, sometimes it's better to sing a high energy song to get the jitters out of you when you get on stage. I'm really glad I switched. I had a blast. Loathing is a REALLY fun song to sing. you can just belt it and nobody even cares if you sound good. it's just a fun upbeat song and it's fun to listen to. I got on staged and I was scared to death, but I was having so much fun it didn't really matter. I got a few laughs out of the directors. My voice cracked a few times but I kept going. which is something I have a really hard time with. it was really a victory for me to ignore my mastaics and keep going. I think that was God. lol The dance audition was fun. it was hard, but fun. I never do very well on dance auditions. But I had fun and made it LOOK like I knew what I was doing.. hahahaha. :)
So yeah. Altogether it was a wonderful audition. I'm very proud of my self and I think I did a great job. I didn't get called back the next day, but that was alright. saturday night I got a call. I'm cast. and I am so so so happy. I'm just in the Chorus, but I don't care. I'm cast. one of CYT's motos is "there are no small parts, just small actors." It's going to be a amazing show and EVERYONE should come. they cast 110 kids. can you believe that?! 110 kids! usually they only cast 60 or 50. I don't think they've ever gone to 100 before. it's gonna be insain, but amazing and magical. I can't wait. so yes. GO BYE TICKETS!!!! www.cytspokane.com :)

Phwaaaaa

THANK GOD FOR THE SUN TODAY!!!!!!! Aaaaah it was so lovely. Me, my mom, my older sister, and my little brother went on a walk downtown to Aunties Book Store. It was lovely. the sun was shining and riverfront park was just gorgeous. the river was beautiful. Unfortunately I completely forgot to bring my camera. :P It was a wonderful walk. We walked in to the book store and was welcomed by the wonderful smell of new and used books. Cc was very happy. ;) And I got a book! It's called The Boggart by Susan Cooper. It's VERY good. :) One of my favorites.

speeeeaking of books! I've been reading quite a lot lately. thats probably one of the reasons why I haven't posted in awhile. I got around to reading Eragon! ( I did it kathryn! lol) ... I laughed through the the first few chapters... I'm sorry... It's terribly written! But it was written by a 15 year old, so what do you expect, you know? But I tried to look past the bad writing and just focus on the story. and I got through it. I found that the characters were VERY underdeveloped to the point where I didn't care at all when Brom died. Eragon was a whiny complainer. he would throw hissy fits ALL THE TIME. It got pretty annoying. It wasn't a bad story though. if someone took the plot and rewrote the whole thing, it would be a pretty good book and might even make it to my favorites list. But I was unimpressed. I must confess that I enjoyed it enough that I might pick up the next book in a few months. But I'm really not in a hurry. :)
I've also been reading a lot of historical fiction. thats been a lot of fun. I found a author that I like a lot. her name is Elisa Carbone. I just love the way she writes. I just read a book by her called "Stealing Freedom" About a little slave girl who escapes through the Underground railroad. It was very good. :)

I get to see CYT's Cinderella! I'm soooo excited! I might be auditioning for a show next month. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. :) I loooove that show. the music is amazing. :) I'm pretty excited. I really hope I can do it. and if I can't, there is another show my friends dad is directing. so I might audition for that too. :) So many shows, so little time. hehe.
