Oh Spokane. I love you.
Spokane is an awesome crazy place. I love it. Today me and my friend Mara (and her dad. :D) went Downtown to go watch some Hoopfest. Wow. SO many people. They say it's the biggest Basketball festival in the world. I believe it. They pretty much close down Downtown and turn it in to about 500 or more basketball courts. Is that not amazing?! I have lived here all my life and yet, I have never been to Hoopfest before. Isn't that funny? We drive past it all the time, but we never actually watch anything. So today I went to it for the first time. And I was bewildered. It was really cool. It's amazing how many different personality's come to it. We saw a guy with a skirt, and a girl with a beard........ Awkward. :D It was crazy fun. I am having a really good weekend. It was funny. Yesterday, I went to Maras house thinking that we were going to hoopfest that day, and I got the day wrong and it ended up being today instead. SO I just hung out at her house for the day! But Oh my gosh I am so glad I got it wrong. we had such a blast. I haven't been able to hang out with her for so long. We keep seeing each other at shows and stuff, but we haven't just spent time together since last year. We had a really good time. It's amazing how god works things out like that. We really need to spend some time together. I doubt that we would have covered everything we needed to talk about just at hoopfest. we needed that day.
So yeah! life is good. Well, except that all my sisters are kind of stressed because they are trying to find colleges. But life is good other then that. I start my swimming stuff on Monday. Scary. I am a bit nervous. I hate first days. I'm always afraid I'm going to make a fool of my self. But I'll have to get over it. I'm sure it will be fine. :P
4th of July is coming up fast. I am getting excited! We are going to go up to our aunts house as usual. Its like, RIGHT next to a lake. So lots of swimming. YAY!

Karen takes amazing pictures
My older sister Karen got a new camera for her birthday. Since then she has been going around the house taking pictures of all of us randomly. I am AMAZED at how good those pictures are. I wanted to show them to you!

Beauty and the Beast
I FINALLY found a video on Youtube from the show and I wanted to show it to you guys. It's amazing. I YAY! So here it is! Enjoy!
Behind the Scenes! ( you should watch the videos first before you read this) : I was in charge of the rose. That was MY job. There were four different roses and each one had less petals on it then the last one so that it looked like the rose was wilting. I would go back stage during certain scenes and take one out and put the new one in. In the last scene, the last rose petal had to fall, right? So this is how we did it. We had a thin translucent string glued to the last petal (which was taped to the stem. all the roses were fake.), and I would thread the string through the bottom of the glass case and give the end of the string to the drummer who was next to the stage. when the time came, she would pull the string, and the petal would fall! Well, actually, It didn't fall half the time. The petal was either taped on to tightly or to loose. When it was to tight, the drummer would pull and the stem would bend down and down and then the petal would finally come off and the stem would bounce back with a twang. When it was to loose, it would just fall off to early. SOMETIMES it would work. I think it worked three times maybe? But something else went wrong when it did. One time, it worked perfectly, but the lights underneath it weren't on for some strange reason and no one could SEE it. I was rather annoyed. I was REALLY annoyed actually. But on closing night, it worked beautifully. Nothing went wrong, and it worked like magic. Me and Marsha ( the drummer) were bouncing up and down. I was so happy it worked. It was like my life task was finished now that I got it right. :D

Yay for summer reading!
I just got back from the library and with a giant stack of books. Yay! Cc is happy! Give me food and books and a quiet room and you wont see me for the next few weeks. :D
Life is good. Summer is coming along very nicely. I am very content. Everything seems to be going alright. Well, except when I swallowed a whole peppermint by accident this morning...... That wasn't so fun. :)
I went to mass today. That was very nice. I like going to daily mass. For some reason I can talk to god easier when it's daily mass. On Sunday's there are more distractions. Such as the awful music at our parish, or my friends sitting three rows ahead of us, and so on. When it's daily mass, there aren't very many people there, and they usually don't have music. It's just easier to concentrate.
So yeah. I got a prayer time in which makes me very happy! :)
The new Pixar movie Wall-E comes out next week on the 27th. I am REALLY excited. I love pixar. they make incredibly good movies. Everyone should go see it.
Ok I'm just rambling now. I didn't really have anything to say when I started writing this post. Well, I'm ending it now. So it doesn't matter. :)

Oh look, it's summer.
Well, here it is. Beauty and the Beast is over now. It's been over for about two weeks. It seems like a month. Time has been crawling by pretty slowly since it ended. I've been remembering what it was like before I started all the theater. Slow, but not altogether boring. This is my life. I like it. :)
So as I was saying, it's summer now. I've been thinking about what I am going to do with it. I REALLY don't want it to be another summer where I lounge around and do nothing. I want to make something of it. I have a few plans. Towards the end of June I will be taking the level 6 swimming program at SCC. I am pretty excited about that. I love swimming. I am a water girl. I spend most of my summer in the water. We take regular trips to the lake at least twice a month. I love it.
I also plan to spend A LOT of my summer at the library. I LOVE reading. I have a long list of books I want to read. I am so excited. I am planing to raid the library next week. When the Mannino's leave the library, the shelves are usually somewhat empty. Mwahahaha....... At the moment, I am reading Maril of Redwall, and a book called The Princess and Curdie by George MacDonald. Both of which I am enjoying very much.I hope you all are enjoying your summer! I am looking fwd to a wonderful one.
